Several factors contribute to melting in the Himalayas, including settled soot and changing precipitation factors. However, the new study suggests that temperature is the single biggest factor that drives the rate of melting, underscoring the impact of climate change on an area that is a critical source of water supply for India and China. 🔸 The research comes as global carbon dioxide emissions hit a record high last year, and as the earth’s average temperature has warmed about 1C compared with pre-industrial times. 🔸 Read more at the link in our bio. 📸: PRAKASH MATHEMA/AFP/Getty Images

Maybe you should lead by example and stop flying private jets and taking yachts all over the place. I know it’s a crazy idea.

The Chinese are one of the biggest CO2 emitter. They're shooting themselves in the shoes.

Hey Leo. Thanks for all the hard work you put in to make people aware of what’s happening to our world.

In fact, we ( humans ) are not destroying The Earth, we are bringing humans to extinction. The earth has a mechanism to rebuild itself, like what it had done when Ice age happened.
Mass productions and mass consumption must be stopped but lobbying and hidden power behind consumerism won’t let that. People must stop buying as an shopaholic or stop useless overconsumption of everything even what they eat. NGOs must teach people not to buy or consume more than what they really need

Peace of mind kind of linked with the world temperature too, we don't have the equipment yet to measure what change in earth brings change in humans, it's not a different thing, it's in fact a same thing. How it's one thing? Can we just s human on mars, he needs whole atmosphere to survive. Here already we have, destroying it. Atmosphere is a blanket for us, the space is too cold otherwise.
