  • Pakistan’s former captain and Swing Ka Sultan Wasim Akram feel that the similarities between 1992 and 2019 World Cup scenario for Pakistan can be a motivating factor for the Pakistan team.

A series of similarities between 1992 – when Pakistan won the World Cup under the captaincy of Imran Khan - and 2019 World Cup is being discussed giving many a hope that Pakistan will do what it did 27 years ago – winning the World Cup title.

Among the hopefuls, one is Wasim Akram.

  • AUSTRALIA WON BY 64 RUNS!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
.
What a game that was! Take a bow! A comprehensive win tonight at the Home of Cricket! Well done!!!!!!
.
Our openers yet again gave us a great start with the bat as Finchy scored a ton and the pair put on a partnership of 123 runs! Australia were well on their way to a massive total but a wobble in between slowed things down. However they managed to get 280+ thanks to a cameo from Alex Carey at the end who added 11 runs in the last over with Mitchell Starc. Our bowlers did the job and defended the total with Mitchell Starc bowling probably the ball of the tournament so far - an inswining yorker to remove Ben Stokes who was in great touch. Our pacers were exceptional - Behrendorff got a 5fa and this was backed by some great fielding which helped us get a 64 runs win over England! This also meant that they returned to the top of the table and are the first semi finalists of the tournament! Here are the scores!
