  • Bueno aunque la cobertura de chocolate y avellanas me ha quedado fatal, ¡el sabor es lo más! Y todo gracias a @lisvalera y su receta de helado de coco. En mi caso he hecho un polo, pero tambien he congelado algunos cubitos para intentar hacerlo cremoso y poder zamparmelo a cucharadas🤤. Si queréis la receta, tan sólo tenéis que ir a su perfil. La encontraréis allí facilmente.
Asi que, ala a disfrutar del verano con un rico helado saludable 😋.

Well, even though the chocolate and hazelnut topping look howful,  it tastes amazingly! And everything thanks to @lisvalera and her recipe of coconut ice-cream. In my case, I made an ice lolly, but I also froze some cubes in order to try and make it creamy and being able to scarf it down 🤤. If you want the recipe, you just have to go to her profile and you will find it easily.
So, go and enjoy summer with a tasty and healthy ice-cream. 😋

  • Post workout flawless 👑🏋🏻‍♀️ For all those who ask me if I wash my hair every day when I train or do hot yoga, the answer is NO.  I use a lot of dry shampoo YES and it saves me, I also have to get creative and do hairstyles sometimes to hide dirty hair but the reality is that I don't sweat a lot when I train in the gym and my hair looks like this after a full workout. They also ask me if I do keratin because I have such "perfect" hair.  The answer is NOT anymore. I used to do it but my hair was damaged and the truth is that I don’t need it. This is my natural hair and is the reason why it looks like this. I keep it natural and that‘s why it has so much volume, I don’t do any special treatment but emotional and health self care is the reflection of having healthy and radiant skin, hair and nails. Conclusion: Perfection doesn’t exist, let’s be real 💕 -

Para todos aquellos que me preguntan si me lavo el pelo todos los días cuando entreno o hago hot yoga, la respuesta es NO.  Uso mucho champú al seco SÍ y me salva, también tengo que ser creativa y hacerme peinados para ocultar el pelo sucio, pero la realidad es que no sudo mucho cuando entreno en el gimnasio y mi pelo se ve así después de un entrenamiento completo. También me preguntan si me hago Keratina porque tengo el pelo tan "perfecto". La respuesta es ya no más.  Solía hacérmela pero me deteriora el pelo y la verdad es que no lo necesito, este es mi cabello natural y es la razón por la que se ve así.  Lo mantengo natural y por eso tiene tanto volumen, no me hago ningún tratamiento especial, pero el cuidado personal emocional y de salud es el reflejo de tener una piel, cabello y uñas radiantes y saludables. 
Conclusión: la perfección no existe, seamos reales 💗

  • It's summer here and still strawberry season, so I savour it to the fullest 🍓😍 I was looking for some summer salads inspirations and found the one 👆🏼 It's a green salad with strawberries and ricotta and it's so simple and delicious 🤗 I can't get enough of it. 
Ingredients (for 1 person): 150g strawberries
75g ricotta cheese
a handful of corn salad or spinach
a few roasted almonds
Honey-ginger vinegar sauce:
1tsp honey
1tsp olive oil
2tbsp lemon juice
a pinch of minced fresh ginger
Mix all together and enjoy 😌🌿 A whole plate is only 318 calories with 10P, 21C and 21F.  It's so good!! 🤩 Try it and believe me, you're not gonna regret.

  • 15-minute Cilantro Chile Lime Shrimp Bowl 😋🥑🍤💪🏼 by @shredhappens

Its been a busy day… started with a 4.5 mile run around Lunken Airport (amazing spot for those of you in Cincinnati), then spent the morning on calls, and now, finally getting ready to eat my first meal. I know I said I never miss breakfast, but somehow I did.
.
I started with a big base of @josiesorganics arugula then added shrimp, brussel sprouts, half a small avocado, and a soft-boiled egg. One of my favorite meals.
.
Here is how I made everything (you’ll get multiple servings from the shrimp):
.
1.Start with 1lb wild deveined shrimp and toss with 1 tsp sea salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tbsp chile lime powder (trader joes), 1 tsp paprika, some red chili flakes, and 1 tsp olive oil. Mix everything well and let sit.
.
2.Take a large pan and melt 1 tbsp butter on low-medium heat with 1 tbsp minced garlic. After about a minute, add the shrimp and cook for about 1.5 minutes on each side. Don’t overcook as it turns rubbery. Turn off the heat, add in about 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice and 1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro (I used Josies cilantro), then transfer to a bowl.

3.Next toss some brussel sprouts with 2 tsp garlic and some more Chile lime seasoning in a small bowl, then sautée in the same pan you use for the shrimp. They’ll soak in all the shrimp flavor and seasoning.
.
4.Now you can plate everything. I started with a big base of @josiesorganics arugula (you can also use spinach) and topped with the shrimp and Brussel sprouts, and half a sliced avocado.

5.I also added a quartered soft boiled egg that I made earlier in the week. This one was boiled for 6.5 minutes (for a jammy egg), but you can keep them in for upto 10 minutes if you want a firmer yolk.

6.Topped with some more red chili flakes and sesame seeds… & devoured.

Today I’m so thankful for my job and all the opportunities that have come from just going for it.⁣⁣

I didn’t have any plan to be a personal trainer until someone approached me with an opportunity and I said, “why not?”⁣⁣ 3 years later and I still train some of my first clients ☺️💕
⁣⁣
And then I started this Instagram around the same time having no idea what to do besides share my journey and hope that I could help others who were having the same struggles create their best self.⁣⁣

Then every year I stepped a little more out of my comfort zone and just kept going for it, not knowing what the outcome would be. I did some online challenges with my followers and created my first program. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Then this year I launched my lifestyle program Flourish, officially started online training, and the cherry on top, my dream company to work with, @balanceathletica reached out to me to join their team. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
When I started all of this, I had no idea where it would take me. Buy I continued to just go for it and here we are. I’m so beyond thankful for this life I’m living! ⁣⁣

So I want to encourage you to go for it! Do whatever it is that scares you because you never know what will come from it until you try! 💕

the things that make me so happy in life!! it’s seriously the little things! Buying coffee from my favorite coffee shop, treating myself to fresh flowers (or buying them for others), & surrounding myself with people who support me and make my heart full! I’m laying in bed right now reflecting on how lucky I am for all of the amazing little things in my life☺️ there is happiness & greatness in everyday, you just gotta find it! I suggest taking a moment this morning to think about the things that make you smile a lil’ extra & be GRATEFUL for them. TBH, I can't get enough of grilling season. 🌭The food is delicious and the smell is intoxicating! 🥰 But, for one of my clients in my 1:1 coaching program grilling season made her ANXIOUS. 😬Her family and friends had cookouts frequently, but it was always with food that went against her rules, like higher fat burgers and processed hot dogs. 🙅‍♀️This girlfriend always had to have her 'special' food made- like grilling a carrot for a carrot dog when everyone else was eating run-of-the-mill hot dogs. 🥕She told me during one of our sessions how she wished she could just eat NORMALLY. It was embarrassing, and also exhausting, to always have to ask for a special request. 😣 I totally understood this. For years I had special "Colleen Food" too. It was always the low cal, sugar free, fat free kind. 🙈 Anywho, we talked through her fear of eating the normal food and created to plan. 📝 I guided her mindset change away from "good" and "bad" food, and supported her as she challenged her food rules one at a time. I'll never forget the time she messaged me and was SO excited after coming home from a family cookout where she felt NO stress over having herself a hot dog. 🤩Gone were the days of feeling excluded and different! 🙌🏻 I'm so happy she can now enjoy life experiences with joy like family cookouts again.❤️
