  • Take influence but go back and see what inspired your influence!
Right now too many artists are creating soundalike material and basing their image on their contemporaries.
Billie Eilish is a fr sh new artist and it’s great that people are inspired by her work but too many are essentially copying.
Don’t do that.
Go back and see what influenced Billie, find your own way of expressing yourself that’s not copying but inspired by.
The main thing with an artist like Billie Eilish is that it’s unique artistry, that should be the main takeaway - make something unique ✍🏼👌🏼

  • Happy Monday! Such a fun 6 weeks diving into Jess’ book, “Lead Your Whole Life”. This week we talked about fun and contribution. Truth is there are so many things we can do to have fun but when we’re intentional with finding joy and living a fun life doing what God has called us to it’s so much better! The fun we have is a response of not what we have to do but what we get to do, especially when we’re doing life along side people we really love! The cool thing too is that we can have fun anywhere; let’s dance at the grocery store, sing extra loud in our car or wave at a random person on the street!
Wherever God has placed us this season is not a mistake, He wants to use us there to serve those in our lives whether it’s coworkers, family, friends, neighbors, our church community... the list goes on. We’re created to contribute and serve, that’s who we are. We’re also leaders, to be an amazing leader we must first be amazing servants. I mean look at Jesus, His heart to serve and love people that’s how I want to be. So convicted personally to do a better job serving those God has placed in my life. Who is God asking you to serve this week, how is He asking you to contribute? Let’s find fun ways to enjoy all that’s God leading us to do! We have a really fun God that loves us to be joyful! Hope you laugh extra hard this week bc fun is a choice we get to have! You’re amazing and your life is so full of purpose. The world needs YOU, your community needs YOU and YOU need you! Let’s live out who God’s called us to be, the real YOU and the real ME! 🙌

  • Couples that work with The Live Free Movement coaches together, remain together... (we're pretty sure that's how the saying goes anyway.. 🤔) It's been such an honour to work with @_.ken_dra._ in the pursuit of her vision and most recently, to begin working with Simon in the pursuit of his unique goals and aspirations.

These two are the epitome of 'power couple' - driven by growth and development and the desire to show up as their best.

We can tell you right now - BIG THINGS! 💪🔥

  • A term created by two researchers – Peter Salavoy and John Mayer – and popularized by Dan Goleman in his 1996 book of the same name.

We define EI or EQ as the ability to:

Recognize, understand and manage our own emotions
Recognize, understand and influence the emotions of others

In practical terms, this means being aware that emotions can drive our behavior and impact people (positively and negatively), and learning how to manage those emotions – both our own and others – especially when we are under pressure.

When would I need to manage my Emotional Intelligence?

Giving and receiving feedback
Meeting tight deadlines
Dealing with challenging relationships
Not having enough resources
Dealing with change
Dealing with setbacks and failure

Available resources you can use immediately - The Power of R(esilence) Training
- Emotional Mastery Online Self Paced Course
- Resilience at Work (R@W) Scale Questionnaire and Debrief Coaching

  • Rather than being your emotions, be the awareness behind them. Every day we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you're doing when you indulge these negative emotions is giving something outside yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you.

  • “I had a couple of different influences growing up and each was for different reasons. I was always impressed by some of the progressive styles of guys like Neil Peart.
"Then I had really simple guys who were some of my favourites as far as really solid playing goes. Phil Rudd from AC/DC was someone I really liked a lot... Not because I was dazzled by his playing ability - he was just a rock, y’know?
“Of course, John Bonham was probably the most influential in terms of playing style and timing. So probably those three guys and maybe in the double bass drumming area Tommy Aldridge was someone I really liked because he was pretty flashy and did a lot of cool stuff. Like the way he caught his sticks and did the twirls.” - Tommy Lee

  • Most people hate what they do.
.
When they’re looking for “how to make money online”, they’re looking for validation.
.
Validation to quit their job.
.
Validation to be successful.
.
Validation to free themselves from living a life of being stuck in a dead-end 9-5 job they don’t like.
.
The BIGGEST problem is… maybe you’ve been working in a job for months or even years...
.
And during that time, you’ve been programmed to get paid just for being there. You don’t get paid based on the results you deliver.
.
And this is why most people have no skills. They just do the bare minimum.
.
Now, if you’ve made it this far, you’re probably a person like me, who wants to make more money and create more success because you know you deserve it.
.
So let me tell you the TRUTH of what it takes…
.
If you seriously want to make money online so you have the option to quit your job… you need skills. Real, valuable high-income skills.
.
If you want to build an online business or become a freelancer, what’s the only way you get paid?
.
By bringing results… not just by showing up.
.
Start there… learn a skill and use it to bring in income… then THAT will become your security.
.
Now, if you want to know how to leverage influencers, so you can start writing your own paychecks by doing the 1% of work they can’t, click the link in my bio.
.
Would you rather get paid based on results or on the time you work? Comment below.
