  • When should I schedule my maternity session?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I recommend my clients schedule their session between 28-34 weeks depending on size of the belly and comfort levels.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you are showing earlier on in your pregnancy and have a round belly, you will want to schedule your session closer to the 30 week mark.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I don’t recommend waiting too close to the due date for several reasons including going into labor early or being placed on pelvic rest or bed rest the remainder of the pregnancy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For the mamas, How far along were you when you did maternity pictures?

  • My #pregnantbelly is officially bigger than a bowling ball 😂 I'm trying to enjoy the last weeks and ignore the fact that I'm getting no sleep with this big belly.
Swipe 👈 to see my favorite bowling buddy having a great time.
What helps you sleep?

  • Decalcification of bones and sublaxation of joints is a part of pregnancy due to softening of ligaments caused by relaxin hormones. It effects the sacroiliac joint and symphysis pubis (in a good way) which allows stretching when it's time to birth your baby! Relaxins in conjunction with progesterone increases the water holding capacity of the ligaments surrounding these joints which in turn means increased joint mobility. Movement can become irritating and produce back pain and inflammation which is also very common during pregnancy. This is why I binded my belly throughout my third trimester for back relief, postural support, to lesson the pressure from rapid growth and weight of my growing baby thus helping with stretching/stretch marks and much more.

Other changes in our bones can be linked to Vitamin and mineral deficiencies. This is why Sea Moss is HIGHLY recommended as a natural form of prenatal vitamins as opposed to synthetic over the counter prenatal multivitamins...as it contains 92 of the 102 minerals that we need to maintain a healthy body before conception, during pregnancy and after. It also contains Vitamins A, B, C, D (black wombmen suffer from severe Vitamin D deficiency), E and K. It is especially rich in calcium and iodine, as well as potassium iodide, potassium bromide, selenium, zinc and natural silica.

Ps. Wombmen are so Magical...
I am so Magical! ❤️😄👐🏾 •

  • This is the difference between a traditional c-section and a gentle one.

If you’re having a c-section you have options and you can still choose how your baby is going to arrive in this world. Make sure you get informed: Information is power! 💪🏻 Hypnobirthing courses in North London.

  • 32 weeks, 5 days. Still trying to come to the realization that in 5-7 weeks we will have our baby girl here! The more she moves around the more I am fascinated about what a woman’s body can do. Baby V is currently being a butthead and is sitting breech. She moves ALL night long, but hasn’t flipped yet. I’m doing lots of different exercises provided by my midwife to try and manually move her but I’m a little worried because if she doesn’t flip soon, my entire birth plan is out the window! Those of you who have been in this situation before, what are some exercises you found to be helpful? And to add to the situation, those of you that don’t know, baby is due Sept 5th and my husband has orders to our new duty station (Yuma, AZ) for October 1st. That means just 3 weeks after baby V enters the world we will be packing up our entire home and moving.😅Im not nervous at all 😬 #mommytobe #septemberbaby #cantwaittomeetyou #preggers #pregnant #preggobelly #babybump #bumplife #breechbaby #midwife #love #happy #houston #marine #militarycouple #soontobemommy #bumpbumpbump #family

  • Through the good times, ups, downs, twists + turns + everything in between, I wouldn't want to do LIFE + be on this journey with anyone else but YOU!

I love the awesome team we make + how no matter what we have going on in LIFE, that we're always encouraging + challenging each other to improve + never settle for mediocre.

We're not glitz, glam or showy. Just REAL, say it like it is, + laugh at everything - even ourselves, kind of people!
What we have as a couple is so special + I'm so thankful for you, for US + for our little family that will soon be expanding from 4 - 5!

Cheers 🥂 and Happy Anniversary ♥️ to 13 years of marriage! Here's to another year of adventure!

  • I groan, moan, and complain all day but in three weeks when she is placed in my arms all the aches and pains will be completely forgotten. When I showed Drew this picture his exact words were, “Geez, looks like you’re going to tip over!” I can’t even be mad because it’s true 🤣
