  • My manager @suckerpunchent always tells me not to post videos when I’m drunk. But he never said anything about posting videos straight out surgery, drugged up on pain meds and anesthesia

  • Surgery went well. I am now in recovery. It will be a slow journey I’m sure but I’m going to enjoy the process. And remember - the tortoise won the race !
Thank you everyone for the support

  • About last night...... I admit I was sad and down in the dumps about my knee and emotional about going to #ufc238 because I didn’t know if I could keep my emotions in check. But sometimes things happen for a reason and being there opened my eyes to how blessed I am am how many truly great people I have in my life. The fans were so great to me. I got to see old friends and make some new ones. So many people - fighters ,friends, fans , @ufc staffers were so kind and encouraging. Instead of going and feeling bad for myself I realized that everything happens for a reason and maybe I needed something like this to really appreciate my life and the sport and all that it’s given me. I had so much fun last night. Not in the way that I normally do, which is in the octagon. But I have my surgery Tuesday and I am looking forward to a different kind of fight. Rehabbing my knee and getting stronger and better and getting back to the one thing I’ve always loved more than anything. Which is fighting. The sport is crazy but can also be very humbling. I’m not gonna feel bad for myself. I’m just going to use this be make me stronger. Thanks to everyone who made yesterday so great.
