  • I have spoken of this topic before, but felt called to speak more about it today.

LOVE or FEAR

Fear leads us down a road of darkness.
Taking us further away from the truth.

Love reveals the truth.
Brings light to any circumstance.

Which do you choose?

  • This journey just blows my mind away sometimes. Let me rephrase that. This journey is God’s story told through us.

Today we had a very special visit from @drrobertmelillo and his beautiful wife. As I have always said, God ALWAYS provides at exactly the right time. @dr.kyledaigledc speaks so highly of his close colleague @drrobertmelillo. Just last week Dr. Daigle mentioned to Dr. Melillo about making a trip to come visit Jon and, without hesitation, Dr. Melillo came for a visit. I highly recommend everyone checking out the work of @drrobertmelillo & book Disconnected Kids. His work could literally change the world of healthcare.

L.B. Cowman daily devotional:
“It is not within our power to create the wind or change its direction, but we can raise our sails to catch it when it comes...We do not control God’s Spirit, but we can place ourselves before the Lord out of obedience to what He has called us to do...
The greatest Old or New Testament saints who ever lived were on a level that is quite within our reach. The same spiritual force that was available to them, and the energy that enabled them to become our spiritual heroes, are also available to us. If we exhibit the same faith, hope, and life they exhibited, we will achieve miracles as great as theirs.”

  • One of the best piece of advice I received during my own healing is to enjoy the journey and have fun with it.

If you have learned anything about me it would be I can be a bit silly sometimes so I took this advice and ran with it. Maybe a bit overboard sometimes!

I leave you with this today. In those moments when darkness takes over, turn your eyes to God and smile. Remember that moment of darkness is temporary and is all a part of the journey. Light will follow.

  • Sneak peak from Friday’s interview with @gratz_pilates. Full interview will be released in a couple of weeks.

Little background on my decision regarding doing interviews. I have been very hesitant to go on camera. I’m a bit camera shy. We have been blessed to have received offers from many outlets to share our story, but not until recently did I feel the push from God that it was time to start sharing on a new level.

I choose @gratz_pilates for the first interview as I felt it was a safe space for me since Pilates was my life before the accident. The pilates community has been one of my strongest supporters since day 1. The support, love, encouragement, donations, and prayers have meant the world to me. And, I felt this was just one way I could give back. Please note this collaboration is out of the goodness of my heart. Nothing more.

God has given me clarity and peace that my purpose is to share this journey. This is not my story to tell. It is a God’s story told through us. We are the vessel to show God’s Power and Love to others.

  • This is us... recently I have been asked how do you know what to do with Jon? Good question and the answer is God. He guides me.

At nine months old I suffered a concussion. At that time little attention was given to monitoring and following up with concussions. As a child I struggled with language. I was extremely behind. I couldn’t read, write or even comprehend. I can vividly remember kindergarten and feeling for the first the challenges and obstacles I faced. With my parents determination I healed, but it took a lot of practice, patience, and persistence. I believe that experience as a child prepared me for the journey with Jon. My current philosophy is each day I meet Jon where he’s at in that moment. I surrender the day to God and stay open for God to work through me.

So I leave you with this. Sometimes it’s best to just be present, surrender and let God guide you. Every person will have their own opinion based on their personal experience, but you, just like me, can receive the ultimate guidance from the ultimate healer: God.

Remember, Consider Nothing Impossible.

Also, you might notice I am wearing two new styles in the video of our “Consider Nothing Impossible” shirt collaboration with @soulhoneyclothing! Both tops are available starting today!!! @soulhoneyclothing is giving 50% of profits from sales back to support Jon and I from items with the “Consider Nothing Impossible” quote! Thank you for helping us spread this message and supporting Jon and I as well!

  • First off, a HUGE thank you to all of you for supporting the launch of “Nothing Is Impossible” gear. I’d like to share with you how @soulhoneyclothing and I connected and developed inspirational gear together the past two years.

Several months after Jon’s injury @soulhoneyclothing sent me a message asking for my address so she could send me some product. I had seen their clothing before and loved their vibe. When the package arrived, you would have thought my suitcase of clothes for the next year of living away from home had arrived. Not only are the clothes good quality and comfy, I loved the message each piece shares. When I wore a piece to the hospital I was constantly having people commenting on the power of each saying. To me this clothing is more than just a shirt. It is a way to touch someone who needs an extra word of encouragement even if the person reading it doesn’t say anything. It plants a seed and you never know if that seed of encouragement, hope, love, or inspiration was exactly what that person needed.

For Jon and I, last year was a year of miracles. We chose “love conquers all things” because I strongly believe it is a major part of our journey. Love is the answer.

This year as we pondered over a quote we felt it was important to choose a quote that represented Jon. The man he was before the accident and the man he still is today. A warrior who’s faith has made him go beyond human limits. Both as a navy seal and now healing from a severe traumatic brain injury. Nothing is Impossible.

@soulhoneyclothing is donating 50% of all sales SITE WIDE for 24 hours only to help with Jon’s healing. This means if you have been eyeing something at Soul Honey apart from our “Consider Nothing Impossible” tees, yet wanted to be able to support Jon and I through your purchase, now is your chance!

Thank you @soulhoneyclothing not only for this generous gift, but for providing a brand that brings inspiration to the world.

  • I want to share another piece of the puzzle that plays a huge part in Jon’s transformation & healing. Vibration, frequencies, and music.
Back in October of 2018 @dr.kyledaigledc became a big part of Jon’s healing and introduced the unique way he works with patients utilizing various acoustic frequencies and visual stimulation. The body operates at certain frequencies and when trauma happens the body typically loses its equilibrium. When the body is off balance it’s hard to recover. Everything operates at certain frequencies from the way we hear, the colors we see, to the way our muscles work. When these are thrown off from trauma, the body may have a hard time recovering.
The work Dr. Daigle uses is derived from the teachings of Dr. Robert Melillo who is a leading researcher in the field of Childhood Development and Behavior Disorders and author of Disconnected Kids. @drrobertmelillo has found that using certain sensory stimulations could have a profound effect on improving the brain’s function by using specific exercises, acoustic stimulation and visual stimulation.
Jon listens to certain music that Dr. Daigle has developed and put into a computer software program called Neurosage. Neurosage uses a combination of color therapy, visual stimulation, and music therapy to help with improving balance and coordination. We have seen a huge improvement in Jon’s balance, coordination, muscle strength, mood, focus, and cognitive ability from the use of Neurosage.
The laser that we use has certain frequencies that have helped Jon recover as well. I told someone tonight I might as well wear the laser on my belt since I feel like I take it everywhere with me. Again this tool, that is derived off of frequencies, is a life changer.
Which brings me to the bigger picture. These tools and how they are connected to the body have given me a better understanding of God’s creation. “Everything in the universe is made up of energy vibrating at different frequencies. Even things that look solid are made up of vibrational energy fields at the quantum level. Each of these levels has a vibrational frequency, which combine to create your overall vibration of being”

  • Who in your life said “I’ll be there” and never left? Who in your life can you completely rely on no matter what?

My parents were at the beach last week and upon their return they did as they have done throughout our journey...Serve. My dad made this today for Jon. Jon’s progression called for a new level of walking therapy and, as always, my dad stepped up to the challenge. And, as you can see, Jon nailed it on the first try. My parents are behind the scene handling so many life details freeing me up to completely focus on caring for Jon. #grateful
