  • I'M ABSOLUTELY GIDDY LATELY, and it's no coincidence. Here’s how you can get on my level 🤩
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I literally described myself as "fizzy" to my therapist last week, because I feel like I'm bubbling over with excitement, and gratitude, and possibilities 🍾
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But just a couple months ago, I felt lost, unhappy, and STUCK in a major funk. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, what changed? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I DID.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I knew that nothing would change if I CHANGED NOTHING. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once I was done letting myself feel sorry, I took action. 👉🏼 Met with my therapist so she could help me process + re-align with my truth
👉🏼 Re-established habits that make me feel better (journaling, meditation, walking outside)
👉🏼 Made a new game plan with my health coach to get me physically back on track
👉🏼 Invested in a business coach who won't allow me to play small or stay stuck ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And now? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now I feel unstoppable. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Having people in your corner to help + hold you accountable is so powerful, but even more importantly: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
YOUR LIFE IS UP TO YOU. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can make massive changes and reach new levels. You've just gotta....
❤️LOVE YOURSELF enough to know that you deserve more
🌟BE BRAVE enough to demand more
🏆BE DISCIPLINED enough to actually work for more

  • If you could say "PEACE OUT, SEE YA" to one of your biggest insecurities, what would it be?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I recently shared my 3 biggest insecurities on the @grindandbegratefulpodcast and I had a bit of a vulnerability hangover after 😅it felt SO GOOD to open up and be honest about the things that I still struggle with, because we ALL have our own insecurities and stuff to work through. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For a sec, I questioned if I-- someone who COACHES women to overcome their insecurities-- should admit that I still have a few of my own... BUT
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏼Finding true confidence doesn’t mean that you’re immune to insecurity-- it means that when you are feeling insecure, you have the tools to move through it and bounce back more quickly.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I go IN DEPTH about this stuff in episode 53 of the pod, but there are 4 essential steps for overcoming ANY insecurity:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣CALL OUT THE INSECURITY
Give it a NAME and allow yourself to FEEL it. You can literally say "I am feeling insecure about ______ and I feel it in my ______”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣SEPARATE *YOU* FROM THE INNER CRITIC
Insecurities can feel so REAL, but they aren't your TRUTH. So when that inner critic is speaking up, you have to recognize it for what it is-- if you listened to the episode, you know what I like to visualize my inner critic as 😂
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3️⃣STAND UP TO YOUR INNER CRITIC
Push back on that self-talk and say GIRL BYE to the inner critic. It's kinda like in Harry Potter when a dementor is coming to try to steal your soul and you've gotta cast Expecto Patronum-- you know?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4️⃣PRACTICE CONFIDENCE
Creating NEW beliefs to replace the old, critical ones will take time-- I mean, you probably didn’t become insecure over night. So be patient with yourself, but be diligent. Feed your mind with positive, supportive thoughts and do it daily! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So tell me, what insecurity are you ready to say ✌🏼to?! Declare it below so I can cheer you on 🖤

  • Hi, here’s my butt 🍑 And also, I need to apologize to you real quick.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You’ve been misled.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And you’ve been deceived.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I see extremely questionable “fitness advice” on Instagram every day 😤
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And as a result, I see women who are frustrated, and overwhelmed, and on the verge of giving up on their goals...
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So it’s always my mission to tell it to you STRAIGHT 👏🏼 (I’ve always been “the blunt friend” 😂)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Exhibit A: glute (aka booty) workouts ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I KNOW... building a round + perky booty isn’t necessarily the most important topic.... BUT IT’S A LITTLE IMPORTANT, AMIRITE?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And there are a lot of you who are doing all the ~TrEnDy~ exercises and sweating your life away at the gym but not seeing the changes you want.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So here’s the NO B.S. truth about what it takes to build a bootylicious physique:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣ NOTHING BEATS THE BASICS
Literally *nothing* can replace the “bread and butter” movements. Hip thrusts (my number one go-to), deadlifts, lunges, and MAYBE squats. Focus on getting GOOD at the basics and your physique WILL change. Less jumping around / doing banded shit, more moving weights. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣ YOU HAVE TO PUSH YOURSELF + GET STRONGER
Building any sort of significant muscle mass (aka what perky booties are made of) requires CHALLENGING the muscle. That means adding more weight, doing more reps, and putting in the work!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3️⃣ IT’S GONNA TAKE A LONG TIME
Because as women, we’re not gonna get beefy over night... or even over YEARS.
I’ve been lifting weights for 8 years, y’all. Not 8 weeks. Not 8 months. 8 YEARS. Granted, some of those were less than optimal bc I spent way too long trying to figure it out on my own, BUT STILL.
You’ve gotta be committed, and you’ve gotta be consistent... over a long period of time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
THEN, and only then, you will be blessed with a booty.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sorry to be “that friend”, but I had to tell you the truth 💁🏼‍♀️

  • 10 THINGS YOU PROBS DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT ME
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣ I'm a super awkward dancer (heyo 👆🏼) and these pics remind me of that Spongebob episode where Squidward does interpretive dancing 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣ I'm a midwestern girl, Minnesota born and raised, and I'm team #LakeLife over #BeachBum any day. Anyone else?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3️⃣ My day one passion + fave hobby is horseback riding. I grew up doing showjumping and now I half-lease a handsome warmblood gelding named Spiffy. You can follow my horse adventures on @mwequestrian ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4️⃣ I have a 1.5 year old Golden Retriever named Rosie and a 3 year old Maine Coon kitty named Ollie... oh wait, you definitely knew that 😂
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5️⃣ I'm very much an all or nothing type of person. When I want something, I go for it 100%, including horses, volleyball (I played in college), bikini competitions, powerlifting, business, personal-development... #AllTheThings ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6️⃣ Because of that 👆🏼my work ethic is super strong + extremes are easy for me, which means that balance is HARD and has taken a lot of practice. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
7️⃣I've EARNED this smile-- I've had 20-something teeth pulled (including 6 wisdom teeth), braces for 3 years, and still have permanent retainers on top and bottom. Fun, right? 😬
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
8️⃣ Despite putting myself out there every day on the internet, I'm actually a huge INTROVERT. I absolutely need peace + quiet to recharge. I'm an ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
9️⃣ Having kids / being pregnant absolutely TERRIFIES me, but kinda intrigues me at the same time. Basically, I don't know how to feel but I do know that I don't wanna be a mom ANY time soon 🙅🏼‍♀️ I interviewed a doula (@lizsandoz) allllll about that stuff on today's episode of @grindandbegratefulpodcast! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔟 Speaking of kids.... kids' movies are 100% where it's at 👏🏼 I HATE scary movies and anything too stressful. I watch a movie to relax, yanno? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What's the best movie you've seen lately?! Comment below so I can add it to my list 🍿🎥
