  • Photo by @KenGeiger | With its rich culture and easy access, Morocco is a great destination for any traveler. The country is home to nine UNESCO World Heritage sites, spanning from Roman ruins to the Medina in Fez. In narrow streets in the old market, donkeys still transport goods. To explore more images of the world, follow me @KenGeiger.

  • Photo by @mborowick | Mount Ararat is a dormant snow capped volcano in the east of Turkey. It's also the highest peak in the country. Scholars agree that the biblical "mountains of Ararat" do not refer to specifically Mt. Ararat, but it has been perceived as the traditional resting place of Noah's Ark since the 11th century. #armenia #ararat #mountains #explore #winter

  • Photo by @lucalocatelliphoto | On Dubai’s southern outskirts, a housing development called Sustainable City produces more energy than it consumes thanks to solar panels that shade roof terraces and parking lots. On its grounds, dome-shaped greenhouses grow vegetables for the neighborhood, giving a glimpse into the future of urban farming. The community also recycles its water and waste. A decade ago Dubai had one of the largest ecological footprints of any city in the world. By 2050 it wants to have the smallest. Can it get there? My work revolves around the making of the future, how our society transitions to new ways of living, and how technology is changing our approach to the environment and to our cities. I’ve embarked on a journey with @natgeo to showcase how Dubai aims to become one of the world’s greenest cities. Follow me, @lucalocatelliphoto, to find out more about the Dubai story. #Dubai #environment #sustainability #architecture #city

  • Photo by @andrea_frazzetta | Lhasa by night. Among the central streets of the Tibetan capital, colors and lights come alive. I was roaming the streets of the city on a tuk-tuk all wrapped in plastic to protect me from the rain when suddenly I noticed this little side street. I couldn’t resist—I jumped out and ran into a scene that reminded me of the atmosphere from the movie "Blade Runner." Tibet's holy city is changing fast. The city, once an ancient hub for Buddhism, has recently seen increasing development, leading to a growing connection to the outside world. • Photo by @bertiegregory | A pair of Gray whale cruise up the west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Gray whales breed in the warm tropical waters off the coast of Mexico and then migrate north to richer waters to feed. Some Grays head all the way up to Alaska on one of the longest mammal migrations on the planet. In order to protect places and animals like this, we need to conserve 30% of the planet by 2030. #britishcolumbia #photography #wildlife #coast #orca

  • Photo by Gabrielegalimberti @gabrielegalimbertiphoto and Paolo Woods @paolowoods | Players at the Royal Jersey Golf Club. Jersey is the most southerly of the Channel Islands and has the best sunshine record in the British Isles. That has attracted many tourists over the years. #jersey #golf

  • Meet Buster. He's a Montana local who loves having his picture taken. Curious and affectionate, photographing llamas is like photographing people. The more time you spend with them, the more open they become. And animals, just like people, need to accept you before you can make great images of them. One secret is never look at them directly. Animals often perceive eye contact as aggression, so if you cover one eye with your hand or your camera, they feel less threatened. Llama-trekking is one of the many activities available in remote parts of Montana. With their padded foot, cleanliness, calm nature and ability to browse on a variety of vegetation, llamas have no more impact in the high country than a deer. Follow me, @amivitale, for more photos of fascinating creatures and stunning locales. #montana #llamas #trekking

  • Photo by @andrea_frazzetta | Night in the village of Baleni in the Limpopo province of South Africa. Here, the Milky Way can be seen through the tree branches that hang over the village. The village of Baleni is situated near the banks of the Little Letaba River, on a land belonging to the Mahumani traditional community. Baleni is an environment where nature and spiritualism have a rich integration. To the local salt makers, the warm water, rising bubbles, and the sulphurous smell that emanate from the swamp are all signs that bind Baleni with the spiritual world. • Photo by @Chrisburkard | In between Iceland and Norway lies a chain of 18 volcanic islands that make up the self-governing archipelago of the Faroe Islands. Here, sweeping green valleys meet dramatic, steep cliffs. They’re remote and untouched to a degree that’s hard to explain without experiencing them for yourself. In 2007, National Geographic declared them “the most unspoiled islands in the world.” We came in search of waves and were blown away by how true to its roots the area was. Encountering other people was rare.
