PRO-TIP:
- Had a client reach out to me concerned about his cholesterol.  Triglycerides over 100 and HDL’s in the 20’s. If you’re taking SARMS, Tren or Winstrol, it’s not your diet that’s fucking up your lipids my friend. Eating egg whites and taking more Fish Oil ain’t gonna fix that problem. Just sayin’!!.

There’s nothing “safe” about SARMS, I don’t care what your internet guru told you.

Is sugar bad for you?🤔 Sugar can be found in ALL carbohydrates. All carbohydrates will be broken down to glucose (sugar) in the body (except some fiber). Protein is also glucogenic meaning that it can be converted to glucose (sugar). When someone claims they are not eating sugar, that is an inherently inaccurate statement for those reasons. What they likely mean to say is added sugars. These are sugars added to food items for flavor/palatability. Many people refer to them as “empty calories”, but that is also not always an accurate statement based on individual needs.

Glucose, fructose, and galactose are monosaccharide sugars. Glucose is found in all carbohydrates. Galactose is combined with glucose to make lactose (dairy sugar). Fructose is most commonly found in fruits, vegetables, and is combined with glucose to make sucrose (table sugar). Fructose is also found in high fructose corn syrup and has become the scapegoat for our obesity epidemic.

Fructose is converted to glucose in the liver and over consumption can be an issue (just like anything else). Although, for athletes fructose combined with glucose can be beneficial as it provides an additional source for energy during activity. Additionally, fructose intake from fruit does not seem to have the same risk as consuming added sugars. A study looked at a diet of mainly fruit with ~200g of fructose a day (8 cans of soda worth) for 12-24 weeks and data reported no adverse effects to body weight, blood pressure, insulin, and lipid levels (Meyer, et. al. 1971).

Bottom line, sugar itself is not bad for you. In fact, your body prefers it for energy.🤯 Eating too much added sugar from highly processed foods might not be the best idea though. The dose makes the poison.

I landed in D.C. on Monday with 35 Vertical Meals in my rolling Coleman cooler that I checked onto the plane.

Stopped by Safeway for some “accessories” (Baby Carrots, oj, oranges, Yogurt, Cranberry Juice, salt, eggs, grass fed butter).
.
Staying in an AirBnB exactly 10 minute walk from the NSCA national conference.
.
Squatted yesterday and @rpdrmike and @bretcontreras1 totally whimped out. Pussies!! To be fair, Mike was “de-loading”. I did that once in 1993 so it’s completely understandable. Bret had no excuse but he probably would have just done some of those “humper” exercises he’s always doing with shorts that don’t fit so no loss there 😂.
