  • It's all how we choose to look at it 🙏🏼
I know it's hard sometimes and overwhelming and sh!t happens, I get down too - but what always helps me get back up is being able to reframe the current situation and remember the good things that have come out of situations in the past that I thought were bad but actually turned out better for me ❤️

I bet you have some of those too.

Time is the most valuable asset we have. We can never get back the time we spend being mad or frustrated or pissed about the things we really can't control.
.
We can only control our own response. Catch yourself when you’re stewing for any length of time and refocus your mind. Even if you can’t find the blessing in the current situation yet, focus on other blessings in your life and shift your focus.

  • Truth!! It makes you shinier when you uplift those around you. ✨✨

Too often we see the opposite here on social media and it makes it seem like it’s ok to to gossip and judge other women in our personal lives as well.
.
Don’t fall into that trap, you’re only hurting yourself.
.
Other people are mirrors for us, reflecting back what we love or what we fear. Look for the good in yourself as a habit and you’ll more often see it in others.
.
Don’t be hard on yourself if you’ve been judging someone, use those feelings as an opportunity to look inside and see what is really triggering you. So often we become jealous because we are actually afraid that we aren’t enough and that someone else has “more.” That there won’t “be enough” so we grasp at whatever there is, not realizing that there is an abundance of everything and that we contribute to it by being supportive, being kind, being compassionate to ourselves and others. (I didn’t figure this out reading it in a book btw. I have to figure it out every day and practice it).
.
You deserve to be seen with kindness, compassion and support at the different stages of your journey, during times when you knew less than you know now, during times when you did the best you could but it didn’t turn out right.
.
It’s the people around us who love us and see our best that BRING out our best.
.
Remember who has supported you to get where you are now and pay it forward 💛
.
Fix her crown.
Have her back.
Be a supportive voice.
Offer encouragement.
Look for the good.
Look for her intentions.
Be the one who gives.

PS - I’ve been having trouble writing the past couple days because I’m so anxious about Ryder. If you watched my updates in stories from yesterday you know that they did an MRI and took spinal fluid that was abnormal. He’s still at the pet hospital and we are waiting for word from pathology. We really hope to hear good news and I hate that he’s not home. Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts and love!!!

  • What does it feel like to be the queen 👑 of your own life?
.
I had asked myself this question many times in the past, wishing I felt more at ease in my skin, wishing I had some other job, or body or family...but that wishing was exactly what undermined my ability to be the leading lady in my own life.
.
I was full of fear and self doubt and my mind was always focusing on what I lacked, what had happened “to me” and what I didn’t have.
.
The transformation from fear-based thinking to creation-based thinking was not an easy road; trauma lives in the body at a cellular level and it takes courage to ignite a fire inside yourself that will burn those lingering particles away.
.
I called on mentors, I called on guides, I sought out healing and tools for growth in many forms from solo traveling, journaling, EMDR (therapy for treating PTSD), meditation, vision quests, shamanic ceremonies, neural feedback, relentless personal reflection, and an unwavering commitment to discover love for myself - because at last I understood that love is the heart of all life, behind all aligned intention.
We can only love others as much as we love ourselves, can only receive love that we feel we merit, and can only heal the world when we heal ourselves.
.
So don’t fear change, beautiful soul. 🦄💕
What looks like a setback or a breakdown is always an opportunity in disguise.
.
That’s why my humble offerings for growth are literally “challenges” for you (and me) to do, so we can hone our skill in rising up to meet them, face the doubt in ourselves to continue another day, hone the mental sword to stand strong against our fears and face down the demons of negativity.
.
How we do one thing is how we do everything.
.
Stay open, keep moving forward, and remember that you are the creator of your experience of reality - and the way that you choose to experience this reality in the present is what gives you the power to shape the future.
.
Remember you are a QUEEN.
.

It’s humbling and often feels like an enormous responsibility to be someone that others look up to. I know that YOU have people who look up to YOU and you know exactly what I mean.

I’m simply a series of DNA strands strung together on a chain of bones and muscle and body tissue, and how I show up is fluid and subject to my self mastery, my thoughts, what I value and my intentions - which I think shine through us all like light beams showing the truth of who we are.

I am not perfect. I don’t try to be. I strive to be self aware, to take responsibility for things I mess up, and to aspire to grow. #flawsome

I live with self acceptance and forgiveness. I value health, kindness, generosity, spoken words of affirmation, giving back, leadership, kindness and gratitude.

I know that so many of you who follow here on social media see the person I am INSIDE, and that these 2 dimensional renderings of my self that I attempt to convey through my words, my body language, my facial expressions and the things I share are just a window to my life, not the whole house.

    So don’t use the pictures I share of myself (or anyone online for that matter) as some kind of standard you think I believe in as the “way to look” or the way to “be.” I can’t be anybody else, look like anybody else, or want to be anybody else.

    I want to be the best version of me. If you happen to want to be like me in any way, that’s the best possible part of me to model after so you can be the best version of you.

    How we look on the outside may evolve through time and life experiences and goals, but it’s how we show up for ourselves and the people we love that’s a constant reminder of what really matters.

Remember, it’s not about how many reps you do, it’s about the quality and how present you are to your workout. I want you to feel your body working!

Along with workouts like these, I’m always working out my insides with whole foods that sculpt me from the inside out.

I like to think of my workouts as the finishing touches to the physique I have built with what is at the end of my fork.

How we eat is the way we communicate with our body and how we look and feel is how our body is able to communicate back to us. Just like our workouts, nutrition is also a practice, which consistently over time will yield the greatest results.

Remember to make small changes over time. It’s how you look at food and your body that empowers you to make lasting changes for your life and your family! ❤️💜

Move like you love yourself. Eat like you love yourself. Think like you love yourself - and this self valuing, self loving behavior models to those who look up to you how to love themselves too.
